Crawfish for Cancer (CfC) operates almost exclusively on a volunteer basis, that's why team members just like you are such an important part to making each event a success and making sure we can donate as much of ticket sales to the MMRF as possible!
CfC has three main volunteer groups: a National Team to oversee all events and marketing, a City Team in each market to plan the event, give it an authentic feel in the community, and help spread the word, and a number of Day-of Volunteers that pitch in for things like load-in, setup, check-in, and more to make each boil run smoothly!
City Team Leaders manage planning and logistics and act as point person for the event. These volunteers receive an official Crawfish for Cancer t-shirt as well as a complimentary ticket to the festival.
City Team Members responsibilities can include sourcing bands, finding and communicating with great vendors, local sponsorship and media outreach, sharing the event with friends, family, and coworkers, and more. City Team Members receive an official Crawfish for Cancer t-shirt as well as 50% off up to two tickets to the festival.
Day-of Volunteers typically work in 2-3 hour shifts and receive an official Crawfish for Cancer t-shirt and are refunded for one ticket to the festival, after completing their shift.
Additionally, the National Team is currently looking for experienced professions in the ares of public relations, event planning, cooking, and sponsorship acquisition.
Basic volunteer requirements:
Must be 21+
Meet volunteer hour minimums, including monthly conference calls for City Team
Be a positive, proactive representation of Crawfish for Cancer at all times
All volunteers are invited to enjoy the events but are asked to drink responsibly and not during assigned shift

START A CRAWFISH FOR CANCER EVENT IN YOUR CITY
Don't have a CfC festival near you? Part of our city selection process is market viability, but a lot of it has to do with having a core team on the ground to spearhead the event. Sound like you? Email us here to see if we're planning a boil in your area. If nothing's currently in the works, we'll ask you to download and fill out a New Event Proposal Form and setup a time to discuss the opportunities, logistics, and next steps!
